Generating a new CSR Generating a new CSR
Start the Certificate Request Generator by visiting: https://yourhostname:port/certificate
The port should be 443 by default.
The server will now ask for your company information for the CSR. Please follow the following guidelines as you create your CSR:

Country/State/City - Enter the locality information based on where your business operates, not where your server is located. Spell out all state and city information. For example, if your business operates in Texas, use "Texas" for the state, rather than "TX". If you are an international customer in a country without states or provinces, please use your country name in the state field.

Organization - Please use your full, unabbreviated legal business name including any applicable suffix, such as "Inc" or "LLC". If your company name is registered in an abbreviated form, then you may use abbreviations if you would like to do so.

Common Name - This is where you type the web address of your site. For example, www.securetrust.com and Trustwave.com are both acceptable. Please do not include http:// or https://.

Important information to consider Important information to consider
If you didn't specify a password for the private key, your RSA private key will remain in an unencrypted form on your server. However, if you did specify a password, your private key will be encrypted. This means you will need to select the "Use Encrypted Keys" on the SSL tab in the Server window of the Administration Console. Without this option selected, your server cannot utilize your private key.

The web interface will create three files for you. The first is yourdomain-key.der, which is your private key. Next is the yourdomain-request.dem, which is your CSR in DER format. Finally, there is the yourdomain-request.pem, which is your CSR in ASCII format.

Submit the CSR to Trustwave Submit the CSR to Trustwave
Open the yourdomain-request.pem file (your CSR) and copy the entire file to the clipboard. Copy the entire CSR - including the dashed lines at the beginning and end - and paste it into the Trustwave Control Center to continue.
