Creating a new private key Creating a new private key
Go to the "Tools & Examples Folder" in the SSL Tools folder of WebSTAR. Start the CSR Utility and type a password. This password will encrypt your private key, so you must make a note of this password to be able to complete the certificate installation. Click the "Key" button to create your private key file. Create a name for the key and save it in your WebSTAR folder.
Generating the CSR Generating the CSR
Re-open the CSR Utility and select "Certificate Request". WebSTAR will now ask for your company information to include on the CSR. While you complete these fields, please keep the following in mind:

Country/State/City - Enter the locality information based on where your business operates, not where your server is located. Spell out all state and city information. For example, if your business operates in Texas, use "Texas" for the state, rather than "TX". If you are an international customer in a country without states or provinces, please use your country name in the state field.

Organization - Please use your full, unabbreviated legal business name including any applicable suffix, such as "Inc" or "LLC". If your company name is registered in an abbreviated form, then you may use abbreviations if you would like to do so.

Common Name - This is where you type the web address of your site. For example, www.securetrust.com and xramp.com are both acceptable. Please do not include http:// or https://.

When you have finished typing your company information, click "Choose" and select the private key that you created in the previous step. Enter the password that you typed in the previous step and click "Create" to make your CSR. Specify a file name for the CSR file, but be sure to name it with a .txt extension.

Submit the CSR to Trustwave Submit the CSR to Trustwave
Open your CSR in a suitable text editor, such as TextEdit or BBEdit. Copy the entire CSR - including the dashed lines at the beginning and end - and paste it into the Trustwave Control Center to continue.
